Endurance Tyre Test

Metzeler always aims for perfection, with high level technological solutions which provide outstanding products such as Sportec M3 and Racetec K3, Metzeler's state of the art in the Supersport segment.

Thanks to this heritage and spirit, Metzeler organised the 2nd endurance tyre test, an extreme 8 hour schedule in which Sportec M3 and Racetec K3 have been tested by the invited journalists, who rode, swapping bike to bike and experiencing the specific and consistent level of performance throughout their lifecycle.

Extreme conditions: Sicilian temperatures, challenging and fast racetrack.
Extreme participants Sportec M3 (Supersport tyre 2007 and 2008 according to Motorrad test) and Racetec K3, the 3 winning motorbikes of Masterbike (Yamaha YZF-R6, Aprilia RSV Factory, Honda CBR 1000RR), 15 riders ready to face a unique and brave experience.
Extreme test: an 8 hours endurance, a challenging event for the tyres, the motorbike, the rider.
Thanks to a test like this a specialist rider has the possibility to focus on specific tyres performance in each moment of their life; thanks to the technology of the 2-wheel specialist, thanks to Metzeler's technology. After an 8 hours test a tyre has no secrets anymore and comparing its technical features on different motorbikes it's possible to appreciate its cornering perfection, warm-up level, consistency, confidence.
