INTERACT™: 5 Zones Tension technology
Interact™ Technology’s new scheme with a 5 zone tension (see image), which combines advantages of sport-touring solutions typical for road use with those of extreme sport-riding race tires:
- High steel belts winding tension in the center reduces compound movement for reduced wear and high-speed stability on long road trips (zone 3, center).
- Low winding tension of the steel belts in mid-shoulder creates more flexibility for higher energy absorption, increasing compound temperature for more grip at lean (zones 2 & 4).
- Higher steel belts winding tension in the shoulder area maximizes and makes uniform the pressure of the footprint area at high lean angles when the tire is subjected to high pressure. The final trajectory is more precise and undeviating under heavy braking and at full power for the absolute corner speed limit (zones 1 & 5).
- Dependence of the tire performance on the applied belt tension in each position of the tire shape
- The performance of the compound depends on the stiffness of the structure
- Number of steel string guarantees the homogeneous differentiation
